Battle Fever J is a 1979 Japanese tokusatsu series and the third installment in Toei's Super Sentai franchise. Co-produced by Toei and Marvel Comics, the series marked a turning point in the franchise with its introduction of giant robots into the storyline. The show follows the Battle Fever team, a group of international agents led by Commander Masao Den, who don colorful national-themed suits and fight the evil Secret Society Egos. Known for its vibrant choreography, unique character designs, and dynamic action sequences, Battle Fever J laid the foundation for many signature elements of the Super Sentai series, including the iconic giant mech battles.
